Shep2 is an extension of Shep providing easy integration of component searches. It has been designed to enable component developers to plug in their own search functionality so that all output is presented by the one search module. Shep2 uses Shep's ajax methods but borrows minicomponent handling that I wrote for my commercial applications making it possible to easily write code that is picked up on the fly. A shep2 component is being worked on, and extra plugins can be found in the Extension Specific Plugin category here at the Joomla Extensions Directory.
